A mortal man commits murder, it is his own fault. One considers his upbringing, true, is it the fault of the father? A dog bites a man, let it be deemed vicious. Do you inherity blame the breed? How about all dogs?

O City, won't you listen to yourself. Crimes have been committed, yes. And you have the audacity to begrudge the creator who has given you life itself because of the actions made by one other. You who slay for petty reasons, I will not step forth to defend this wayward one.

He answers to God. As do all of you. Punishment will be dealt for all in due time.

Have you ever heard of subtly?  Look around and see what ensuing chaos. If you had more brains to have your will done by unseen hands than this would not fall back on Our Father. What on earth are you trying to accomplish?
This is not only shameful but crude. This is not what God's handiwork would look like.

Is this the price to be paid for claiming mastery over that which God has made?

Only He can save you from eternal death. Consider this a baptism. You shall live through this horror and lead a life of faith and strength because of Him.

I have looked everywhere and John, the true John, is no where to be found. How disappointing. On the other hand, with this John there can be opportunity. He does have the same wayward streak. I imagine Father would want me to reach out and attempt to help. That gives room for my other plan.

Father, what would you say? I'm listening. Tell me.

The limits of my patience are greatly tested in this City. So many ungrateful, proud sinners. And to see and hear their thoughts...utterly consumed by the demands of the body. Do they not know that time will betray them, illness and age will lay it all to waste what they put so much effort and time into? Ah, mankind. Such gifts given. Near a waste.

I wonder if these two curses are meant to pit the sexes against one another. There is a large number of women in the City, solitary without a man. The men over all have taken to their own gender for comfort and needs. A sign of the times. There are so many people as it is. Copulation and infancy are not such hit or miss tasks.

The newer shelter dwellers don't wish to go to chapel. Perhaps if I were to give incentive...that would be much, much better. An empty stomach can motivate a mind. Ah, yes.

Dear citizens, I worry for you, as any member of the clergy and a child of God would. I have a message for you, all of you:

Our restless passions of youth and in general turn our lives upside down. The only way we can endure is through devotion to each other and to God. He sees all, hears all and knows all. Be upfront with your Father and you will have nothing to fear.

A new year by another calender always inspires the impression of a fresh start, does it not? Why not. Through out your existence you will only have so many opportunities. Why not take a chance?

Start a new, citizens. Purify your heart, mind and soul. Come as you are to your Father in Heaven.

Grant that lawyers and judges may imitate you and achieve true justice for all people.

How will this battle be won? You all have done so well thus far. Such trials to defend your own and seek out those lost.

It's pleasing and disheartening to see so many varied warriors from the prideful, the pure hearted to the greedy, the deranged...with their weapons of intellect, tact and material. The qualities of materials sum up to mean that they are breakable and can fail you.

Now is the time, City. "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of this dark age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places."
